Today we went to the Catalyst Museum in Widnes and had a great time. I was a bit worried it might be a bit old for the younger ones, but needn’t have worried. There was so many hands-on things for them to do, which was great for all ages. Some of the activities were puzzle-type, there were things to turn, press. There was an area especially for little ones with a chalk board, different textures to feel, duplo, magnets, a plant puzzle, a human body puzzle. Then on the top floor there is an observatory with a CCTV type camera the children could move themselves, some microscopes, some bridges to build and a large puzzle of the local area. There was also a puzzle room with lots of tables and different puzzles to work out.
