We’ve managed to get quite a lot of Christmas crafts in again this week. We made some wreaths, the children painted them first using a mixture of colours, and then stuck on some foam Christmas shapes.

I printed off some very cute little nativity scenes I found on Pinterest, and the children coloured them in before I cut them out for them to take home. We made some paper plate robins (saw this on Cebeebies and was very pleased as I had bought a new pack of paper plates recently for such crafts). We also went a bit glitter and sparkles crazy and made some very shiny tree decorations. We used the foil cups from mince pies, filled them with glue, glitter and sparkles. They needed to be left to dry for quite a long time before they were ready to be moved without all the above falling out of them again. But they look great hung on the tree, especially near a light bulb.

We also did some painting using the Christmas stamps and sponges, made a couple more cards and finished off our penguin wall display by adding sparkly snowflakes to the foot print penguins. Can’t believe with how many things we have done recently there were still loads of things we didn’t have time for…..oh well, we’ll have to start even earlier next year :o)
