The biggest Moshi Monsters fan in Liverpool was so pleased when I answered “yes” to the question “do you have any brightly coloured tights, felt, grass seeds and potting soil?” because this meant she could make a grassy head Glump out of her moshi magazine (I think she chose Freak Face)! I helped her to tie one end of the tights (they had been footless tights, normal tights would’ve been perfect), then we turned the tights so the knot was on the inside and she put some spoonfuls of grass seed and compost into the middle. Then we tied up the other end and rested the ball in a mug while she made the face decorations.

At this point I was called away to help J with something and by the time I got back she had almost finished cutting them all out and sticking them on. She watered it by placing the ball in a bowl (and afterwards by resting it in an egg cup with some water in the bottom), and then left it to grow. After a few days the grass started showing and it now looks great!
