Today I put some flowers down on table whilst the girls were painting and I asked the girls if they would like to paint them. With the different ages of the girls (3, 4 and 6), I wasn’t sure how they would all take to it. At first they weren’t too sure as it sounded ‘quite difficult’ but I said they should maybe just look at one flower and paint that first, and once they had made a start they really started to enjoy it. It was really good and interesting to see their own ways of seeing things, and colour preferences come out on the paper.
