Its been that time of the year again, all the conkers have gone and we’ve started collecting pinecones. We’ve done painting with pinecones before and the children loved it so thought we would give it another go. I got two boxes big enough to place an A4 piece of paper in the bottom and put a few blobs of paint on the paper (they helped me choose the nice autumn colours to use). Then it was over to the children to use the pinecones to spread the paint all over the paper. They pushed the pinecones with their hands, picked the box up to tip the pinecones from side to side and even spread some of the paint with their fingers.
